There are three elements to my profile. The things I know about myself, the things I think I know about myself, and the things other people have told me that I agree with about myself. I’m a series of contradictions which apparently means I am never boring. Quick witted with an inquisitive intelligence my humour is both irreverent and sophisticated….which I am not! But I can and do mix at many levels and provided the company isn’t snobbish, I fit in anywhere.
I’ve been described as warm, considerate, astute, sensitive, charming and thoughtful as well as unpretentious and straightforward, open and honest. Someone once said I was romantic too, but wouldn’t put it in writing…….. Reasonably well educated my degree came late in life. Most parts of the world have passed me by as have many cultures. I’ve lived and worked abroad and now find myself in Southern England. My immediate family are close by and my grandsons are growing fast so I try to see them regularly.
Pretty much what you see is what you get with some humility balancing confidence. I enjoy most things beginning with S and F except skiing and flower arranging. Walking and wildlife could be added to the list. I’d really like a symbiotic, complementary relationship, or just someone who makes me laugh.
I intend to develop a new career writing, and I am trying to get to grips with drawing and water colour painting.

Well liked Horndean boy lol. What can I say? I think I am a nice bloke got my own little garage workshop and customers have become friends so doing something right. Slowing down on work or at least trying ! Easy going and good fun, Love holidays, Motorbikes and my boat. Always busy and got loads of friends but as most profiles say can be so much better with 2. Time seems to fly by these days so time to grab hold of my bit of life string, not much left now lol and do some nice stuff. Ordinary normal guy but mix with everybody really and up for most things. I used to be 6 foot two, but now Im permanently in a wheelchair or more like 5 foot. I am also fully blind, while I may need help with some things, but that doesnt mean Im not independent. As I still like woodworking and building something from scratch. I have recently made a built-in wardrobe from scratch while being blind and wheelchair-bound and in the progress of building a catio. And I can still try to cook meals from scratch. I can make a mean roast dinner with all the trimmings and roast potatoes that are crispy on the outside but melt in your mouth on the inside.
