Life isn’t a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘Woohoo WHAT A RIDE’! I am intelligent, fun, energetic, active, agile, empathetic and compassionate, happy, great sense of humour (I Think so), with a love and zest for life. Also able to string more then one or two sentences together so can hold and maintain an intelligent conversation on a wide variety of subjects. Definitely not a couch potato! I enjoy the intimacy of being affectionate and not afraid to be affectionate in public i.e.. hold hands, hug, cuddle etc. I spent my formative years on a farm so have a green thumb so to speak and quite a handy DIYer. I love to explore new places, markets, old curio shops, will just take off for a week end and not knowing where to stay till I find it and finding the out of the way idyllic spots I love the history of some of those places. I lead a very active lifestyle and while Iike the odd trip to the cinemas, but not into watching TV much except for docos or a good comedy. Not a big drinker, though when out dancing or a good live band is playing will have a couple of drinks. I enjoy a laugh and respond to happy smiling people. I enjoy anything to do with music and learning to play the guitar and have a goal to actually play in a band on stage (even just once - what a rush that would be) and will happily sing-along with what ever I am listening to. I have worked all over Aus with some interesting memories. I served in the Army (12 years)and with a state police service (6 years) before opting for a normal life. Now it's time to do the overseas thing in some mid term future. I love to cook and actually had a part time job as a cook in a small restaurant and was quite good at it, so I can cook up a storm in the kitchen for that surprise romantic dinner for two!!

I am actually only 63 as I put the wrong year in accidently, trying to change now, and am looking for friendship and someone to go out with mainly, also am a lover of nature, bonsai, love a good yarn and jokes, like staying up late at night watching the stars with my telescopes, hoping to get a camera like old style one I used to use with many lenses getting great shots of nature/animals etc., winning awards for some, and with this camera hopefully capture the night sky or anything strange too as have curiosity for these things; I have a little maltese/shitzu cross female about 4 years old named "Bella" who is very friendly and loving too, and a little golden finch bird who sounds like a call from heaven; unfortunately I have had a mild stroke over 2 years ago which has left me paralysed down my left side, but I can walk and talk normally and very willing to improve as I used to be very fit karate champion before incident, and doing everything possible to heal, as Bella keeps me active and I live in a retirement village in my own accommodation that allows me to socialise quite a lot. I also used to be a cobbler by trade working at various shopping centres in Brisbane for years - so you may have already met me. Fortunately I was quite well off financially so I am still quite independent now. In next few months some of my friends here and I are going to purchase some remote controlled racing cars and race them at a great track we have here locally for it to race others so looking forward to that. Also I love to watch scary movies and then feel safe cuddling up to someone afterwards. I am also a collector of antique swords, knives, knick-knacks of all sorts, especially like ones that have interesting story to tell or air of mystery about them. Also I really love to eat good foods.
