I'm a 63 years old, widowed chap living in the Scottish town of Biggar. I would love to meet a keen walker. Originally from Manchester, I've lived in Scotland for 25 years now. I prefer someone reasonably local, of the female persuasion, to go walking with, a bit of shopping or to the cinema. I enjoy quiet holidays in France, especially around Bastille Day, although I'm open to exploring new places. I completed the WHW a few years ago and began the Southern Upland Way at the emergence of Covid. My plan for 2025 is to walk from Holland to France, which sounds more arduous than it is. It starts at Sint-Anna-ter Muiden in Holland, crosses into Belgium, and then follows the coast for 50 miles into France at Bray Dunes, with breaks over the week to enjoy the sand sculpture festival at Middelkerke.
