I asked a friend to describe me so apparently I am loyal, caring, trustworthy, in fact too trusting, overly generous, compassionate, sensitive, smart, funny (in a good way), supportive, playful, reliable, confident, outgoing (not always) and always seem to know the right thing to say and do depending on the situation....at one point I was thinking really then why am I single, is it because I have many traits of a Dog or perhaps a door mat :))
I like to think I have many of these qualities, I like nice things, being with genuine people who respect others point of view and opinions, but now having reached the scary 60's where most people think you should be happy just to find a companion (I've got a dog!) and should be tucked up in bed with a Horlicks by 10:00pm that's definitely not me. Yes it's more difficult to get up off the floor now and don't ask what I was doing on the floor in the first place, but hopefully you know what I mean!! I don't feel or act my age and others say I don't look it, but then they don't see me first thing in the morning!!! So if I had a life plan it wasn't to be on my own, but like many of us, you think you've found the person you are going to grow old and and senile with, then things don't work out that way. Don't get me wrong I am perfectly happy, I have great friends a lovely caring family, a good job, l like to travel, still waiting to go to Paris, I enjoy a walk with my dog in the country park and some of my favourite things to do, are to try new restaurants that serve great food, for me there is nothing better than a great Sunday lunch, a walk around Blenheim or around one of the many beautiful places there are in the Cotswolds and back home, to curl up on the sofa to watch a good movie. I love all kinds of music, especially R and B, I enjoy spending time with friends and family....so what's missing, whilst I don't need a man to make my life complete, I'd quite like to find "the one" who would like to share the next instalment of their life with me, so if you think that's you and you share my love for life, any of my interests, a sense of humour and are not looking for a Labrador or doormat, I would love to hear from you.
