I always find it difficult to describe myself, my friends would be better qualified to do so. I suppose I am a bit self contradictory (is that even a word?) in that I am a bit of an introvert but I also enjoy the company of friends and family. Is it possible to be an extroverted introvert? I guess that would be me.
I do value my friendships highly and I am fiercely loyal to those I care about(makes me sound like a bloody Alsation I promise I do walk on two legs!)
My main hobby is music both listening and I do play a bit as well, although not as well as I would like. I love going to gigs and have quite a few lined up already this year, I like to tthink I have very eclectic taste.
I am also an avid reader I always have a book on the go again wide literary taste anything from Charlotte Bronte to Kurt Vonnegut or Neil Gaiman.
I love being out in the country (not when its raining) and try to get up to the Dales for a hike when I can.
What else? Well I like going out for a beer with my mates but very happy also to stay in and binge watch something cool on Amazon or Netflix. I like cooking but find it boring cooking for one. I also like my sport cricket, rugby, football, I used to be half decent at the first two.
Without a doubt though the two most important people in my life are my wonderful sons who I love to the moon and back, both grown up now and who fill me with pride every day.

I am a retired widow. I live near Leeds and since retiring I lived 6 years in Spain - now back in UK full time. My 2 travel companions are my dogs.
I am quite easy going and have a good sense of humour. I have my own hair and teeth. I detest argumentative people and will try to avoid arguments. We all have our own opinions and preferences and should be allowed them. I have strong passion about things and would prefer someone who is also has passion for things.
I am looking for a long term relationship with a male, maybe marriage. As mentioned above it is important that a man has some passion for the things he does - life, hobbies and interests. It would be good for him not to take life too seriously, to have some sense of humour. It is important that he has a belief. Although I am independent, it would be lovely to have someone to share life with.
