I am honest but will not tolerate insincerity or lies - I have had enough of that. I've had to face many challenges recently and have faced these head on, God kept me alive through these... very long story... but I might like some company too occasionally.

I'm young at heart, enjoy decent music, various different types but I am choosy as to styles - no rap, hiphop, wailing for me, so if you like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion, I am not going to like your tastes. I like easy listening, country and my favourite group is Lonestar.
I like a walk with scenery, taking photographs, quizzes - all sorts really. The photo is me on holiday in the Dolomites in 2019. I love the snow and the mountains as you can see.
I have a good sense of adventure but never managed to find that special someone who wanted to share my life, so I had to throw myself into work and travel - until the world went completely mad and shut down in 2020.
Since then I share a house with my nearly 90 year old mum. Yay. We get on well but sometimes I just have the need to talk to other people too!
I do not spend much time on this site and do not use a smartphone so I check in from time to time here.

I am kind, considerate, loyal and creative. I value honesty, decent manners and a certain standard of personal hygiene! I am young for my age and have a good sense of adventure. I travelled across Europe by train on my own in the 1980's to work in Switzerland up an Alp. Then I worked in the NHS for 10 years in an admin capacity before going off to work as an overseas travel rep in the Greek isles at the age of 40 - a job I was excellent at, with my organisational and people skills. I really loved it and though everyone thought I was about 27, that was fine with me. Until the world went mad and of course that was removed from me... You try spending lockdown for 2 years with your 87 year old mother. So I thought - hey, let's give this a go. I am not unrealistic and do not expect perfection, but I would like someone considerate, kind, loyal and who likes spending time in my company. Someone who will not expect a plastic Barbie and accept I am a real woman. I have a deep strong faith in God which has seen me through several difficult situations, long story, but basically I found out what does not kill you can definitely make you stronger.
