There is so much to find out about, exploring through the arts and sciences, finding out more about what makes us human and how we can help others and ourselves. I do not wish to get married again, that part of my life is over and I am used to living on my own. But I should like to share time with a loving man, to enjoy life, be friends and experience new things. Family is important to me; I have two married daughters and grandchildren whom I love and see regularly. Im short, at 5 foot, average build, but curvy. My shortish hair is turning from fair to silvery white, and my eyes, behind glasses, are blue grey. At my age, I am not as active as I was, but like walking, yoga, swimming and have been to dance classes, organised by the English National Ballet. I cant wait for them to start again. During the lockdown, I have done a lot in my garden, read, though not as much as I expected, written, talked and listened. I love Radio 4 and 3. I was a teacher, with a degree in English Literature and Language from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1968, a great time to be a student. I taught in secondary schools, units for out-school teenagers, young offenders, adult literacy, ESOL, and for the last 20 years, children with additional needs in mainstream primary schools. I believe passionately in the importance of play and the arts in learning, physical activity, discovery, hands on experiences, and fun. Im a bit of an old hippie, and despite much that is difficult and sad in the world and my life, think that I have things to offer in a relationship, including a sense of humour and a love of words. Im not an orthodox religious believer, but think that there is another element to our existence and would like to explore this. Im sure theres a man out there who shares my outlook, is a bit taller than I am,( which should be quite easy) laughs, cares and shares some of my views and interests.
