So where to begin?
Well, Ive had a busy, fulfilling life and career and Ive had kids who are now grown-up with their own adult lives Ive been told that I look young for my years..!
I have plenty of qualifications including a Doctorate. Ive worked in academia, and Ive been a company director as well as running my own business. Ive worked both here in the UK and abroad.
I originally trained as an archaeologist / social anthropologist, but have done other things throughout my career. One of my main passions is the historic environment - which is all around us. I particularly like to go to Cornwall. Bodmin Moor and coast and go at least three times a year.
Currently, I am scaling down a bit so that Ive got time for those other things in life.
So, what are those other things that Im looking for..? Could they include you..?
Id like to meet a like-minded partner. Someone who has come to that place in their life where they want the next chapter to begin. Im looking for a friend for fun and adventure. Someone with a bit (or perhaps a lot) of passion and love. Someone with the confidence to know what they want for themselves in a relationship. An equal partner.

I like to keep fit (without going to the gym - but I have a nice bike) and think we all should care about our physical and mental health and appearance.
I am very focused on current affairs and climate change issues both here in the UK and across the world. What sort of world are we leaving to our kids and their kids?
If I was to put a label on myself, it would probably say compassionate liberal. I have no time for reactionary, intolerant, small-minded people. That sort of mind-set will never solve the huge problems facing humanity.
And also I dont do rubbish TV and my presence on social media is almost non-existent. Im also not a sports obsessed male. So you will never see me in a football shirt!

Hi All , I am a widow . My husband was killed in a road traffic accident nearly 8 years ago . But I’d love to travel and would love someone to share experiences with . I’m active in my church , preach , lead worship etc . Active in my lovely village.
I am a Christian . I married at 22 to a man I met at the age of 18 . We were married for 34 years until he was killed at the roadside whilst helping others . That was over five years ago . I am now ready to expand my horizons BUT Ive never dated so this is daunting ! Im a retired nurse and was a Sister on our local Intensive Care Unit . I have been involved in many aspects of this Pandemic over the past two years . Now Im looking to expand my horizons ! I became a Christian aged 20 whilst training in London . Now I am a Lay Pastoral Assistant and a Lay Pastoral Worker and lead on our All Age Ministry , which we are just beginning to relaunch in our village community . I have run the Village Toddler Group which has proved very successful for the past two years . I exercise regularly , Pilates ,Jazzersise and walk my daughters dog four times a week . I am a people person and am just about to celebrate my belated 60 th Birthday with a BIG PARTY my family and all of my friends will attend ! I hope to be able to expand my friendships with this group . In our Church we are short of unattached men !! Hope to hear from you soon
