I'm 69 years old, living in the Darlington region.
Thank you for taking the time a look at my profile. <br>Gosh its hard to do this, almost as horrid as role play, anyway this is me. <br>I was widowed a little over two years ago and I am now ready to find someone, a companion, hopefully a partner to make new memories, have new adventures and share my life with. <br>I am lucky that I tend to see the world with a smiling eye, have a positive attitude and find favourite things in everyday. I think I am kind, fun, honest, what is the point of being anything else. Im up for trying new things, nothing like challenging yourself. Although Ive got a bit less reckless recently. <br>I stopped working full time 4 years ago, although I am still a trustee of a charity which predominantly works with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, work that is very close to my heart. At the moment I split my time between Devon and Bath where I look after my youngest grandson for a few days every week. Jumping in muddy puddles and playing, what a privilege. Having worked with children and young people for most of my career having this precious time certainly fills a gap. <br>In recent years to supplement my income have also had a lot of fun going to Grand Braderies in France, buying random furniture and things to upcycle and sell on. Learning new skills like upholstering on the way. Not sure that it pays for itself but its brilliant and gives me an excuse to go the Pont Aven. <br>I really enjoy being creative love the all aspects of the arts, most genres of music and performing arts. Music is really important to me I listen to music a lot and can happily get lost in an art exhibition. I enjoy cooking and baking, currently having a great time messing about In the kitchen with my grandchildren. Like going out to eat too and having few glasses of wine. <br>Watching the sunrise and sunset, fabulous, especially over the sea, well water temp allowing swimming at sunrise, swimming at dusk I have given up after my way too close encounter with an angel shark, my fault, apparently its when they feed. <br>Like a star gaze as well. Having had an epic fail trying to photograph the moon and the northern lights I am determined to improve my photography skills, would be helpful to meet someone who can help with that or perhaps the manual. Really enjoy being outdoors, which is good as this year my garden needs some attention, the beach and the sea are my places to truly chill out. I hope to explore new places both at home and away and to put some energy into keep fit in the coming year. <br>If you think we might enjoy each others company, or maybe chatting, please message me.
